The race runs through the Danforth Campus — 169 acres of Collegiate Gothic limestone and granite, laid out around quadrangles by Cope & Stewardson at the turn of the last century, with grounds originally planned by the Olmsted firm. The campus is an accredited arboretum, and in early November the trees are the reason to look up.

The Course

It also happens to be Olympic ground. The 1904 Games were the first held anywhere in the Western Hemisphere, and Francis Olympic Field was the main stadium. It's the oldest modern Olympic stadium still in use, and the place where the gold medal was first awarded.

Collin came to WashU to run. Starting a race here is not a small thing.

The race is chip-timed using ChronoTrack systems. Your timing device is a single-use B-tag on the back of your race bib.
